I-275 / SUNSHINE SKYWAY BRIDGE
TAMPA, FL

Stretching 5.5 miles across Tampa Bay, the Bob Graham Sunshine Skyway Bridge is one of the most iconic bridges in the United States.
Southern Road & Bridge is performing critical structural rehabilitation work on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to preserve the long-term performance of this vital transportation corridor. The project requires precision structural repairs performed high above Tampa Bay while maintaining traffic flow and strict safety controls. To execute the work, SRB engineered a custom hydraulic jacking system capable of safely lifting portions of the bridge superstructure and designed purpose-built scaffolding and access platforms to provide secure access around the bridge piers and bearings. This specialized approach allows crews to perform complex repairs efficiently while protecting the structural integrity of one of Florida’s most iconic bridges.
