Southern Road and Bridge successfully completed the comprehensive repair and rehabilitation of the 7-Mile Bridge under FDOT Contract No. E6J97. Originally valued at $14.83 million, with $2.04 million in approved change orders, this complex marine infrastructure project required advanced engineering solutions, specialized equipment, and precise execution. This project demonstrates SRB's expertise in complex bridge rehabilitation, innovative structural solutions, and delivering high-quality infrastructure improvements in challenging coastal conditions. The friction collars SRB designed and implemented for the jacking were the first used in this manner, in the world. Our system was presented to the FDOT Transportation Webinar Series on February 25, 2021 and at the International Bridge Conference in Washington, DC June 7 - 11, 2021.
