BERWICK BAY BRIDGE REHABILITATION
ST. MARY PARISH, LA

The Berwick Bay Bridge along Louisiana Highway 182 is a critical transportation link connecting the communities of Berwick and Morgan City across
the Atchafalaya River, serving as an important regional corridor for local traffic, commerce, and industry. As part of the Louisiana Department of Transportation
and Development’s bridge preservation program, Southern Road & Bridge performed a comprehensive $25.9-million rehabilitation project on the structure,
which included cleaning, structural repairs, and protective coating work designed to restore the bridge and extend its service life. The project required full bridge
closure and coordinated construction operations across the span to ensure safe and efficient execution. Once complete, the rehabilitation will help preserve this
vital crossing for the surrounding communities while improving long-term durability and reliability of the structure.
